Formerly known as Daniel Cemetery, Shady Grove Cemetery is a historical attribute located Sumter County, Americus, Georgia. Shady Grove Cemetery was established in the 1800s and continues to serve a resting place for many cultures, particularly African American with some graves dating back to 1800s. Established in the 1800s with a notation of one the first cemeteries used in Sumter County historical Upper River Road. Shady Grove Cemetery has the distinguished mark of a unofficial Historical Site.
